Sheffield is extremely well served with historical and geneaological information, which has been freely placed online by researchers.

so far I have not found as much information so easily accessible, in any other region I have interest in.

An absolute 'must' for anybody with geneaological interests in the Bolsterstone/Bradfield area.

Sheffield and District Family History Society........

Plenty of information and links to all aspects of family or local history in and around Sheffield.

Bradfield Parish Council Site.

Has lots of local information, in particular, a local history page,

which includes a list of all the historical papers held at Bradfield Archives.

Bradfield Village Site................

Mainly modern information relating to Bradfield Village

Stannington war memorial.

Robert Smith has a website of the  research he has done into the men remembered on the Stannington war memorial


Sheffield Records Online

Extremely useful.

 Lots of free records (for example, census 1841,1851,1861, Burials, Marriages relating to Sheffield)
